As an Electronic Hardware Engineer in a growing start-up organisation, you won't just be a cog in the machine - your contribution will make a tangible difference in the following areas:

  • Work within an experienced millimetre-wave RF team.
  • Design/development of millimetre-wave imaging radar systems.
  • Design of mixed signal analogue/digital electronics with high-speed interfaces.
  • Create, review and debug multilayer PCB schematics/layouts.
  • Liaise with PCB fabrication/assembly companies.
  • Design PCBs for our in-house mmW ICs designs.
  • Liaise with mechanical engineers regarding radar enclosure design and thermal/mechanical simulation.
  • Executing board bring-up and drafting suitable test report documentation.
  • Obtain product approvals through R&TTE, EMC and environmental testing.
  • Assist in creating test plans for prototyping and mass production.
  • Produce technical writings and design review material in support of R&D activities.

Job requirements

Essential Criteria:

  • Honours degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a related discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with creating PCB schematics/layouts in Altium Designer.
  • Experience with ‘bring-up’ and debugging of PCBs.
  • Proven analogue and digital circuit design skills.
  • Ability to learn and develop as required through self-driven curiosity, formal training and on the job development.

Desired Criteria:

  • Experience in the full design cycle of a multi-disciplinary product with an introduction to mass production.
  • Experience with R&TTE, EMC and environmental testing process.
  • Experience of system modelling/testing with MATLAB or equivalent.
  • Experience/knowledge of RF PCB design.
  • Experience/knowledge of FMCW radar systems.


Our HQ is located in Shannon, Ireland and our imaging radar design team is primarily located in our design centre in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Ideally, the successful candidate will be located at our design centre in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
